Our versatile shoe is made to perform - whether you're mowing the lawn, gardening or landscaping. What makes the Ultimate Yard Shoe?

Many people don't like heavy, stiff work boots.  Not everyone is a fan of rubbery, one-dimensional garden clogs.  We set out to give you a better, all-purpose option for working in your yard.

Our research guided us during development, and we discovered the Back Yard features that are most important to people. 

We've stitched together high-quality materials specifically designed to perform in the yard.

Why a Yard Shoe?

Born out of a passion for his backyard, our Founder Shawn Langton was tired of the lack of shoe options to wear while working in his yard.  For years he wore old athletic shoes to mow the lawn and work in the yard.

He battled soggy feet in the morning dew, slipped on inclines with his worn out tread, and rips in the old shoes would let grass in all over his feet. He searched for a better option, with no luck.  

Shawn decided to create the ultimate all-purpose yard shoe. He spent 3 years researching & developing what makes the ideal shoe for working in your yard.

Our Motivation

We are a brand, a company, a culture that not only offers a solution, but engages homeowners who take pride and joy in their yards.  

There is nothing better than keeping your yard in shape, then enjoying it with friends, family and neighbors.  

We have set out to create footwear that truly captures the terrain of the yard without skimping on the style.

Our pride is in freshly cut grass and our joy is enjoying it with a cold one because nothing beats opening up the backdoor to your own paradise. Soak up the sun, work up a sweat, host a blow out, show off your flowerbeds... as long as you're spending time outside, you're doing it right. 

Footwear Comparisons

The past 12 months we have been developing our shoes with our manufacturing partner, Otabo.  This partnership with Otabo is excellent, as they bring a history of working with major footwear brands, and producing premium quality footwear.

Otabo is based in the United States, and has a China office staffed with Quality Assurance and Factory Managers.  Otabo only works with factories that meet a high standard of ethics, workers' rights, and product quality.  You can be confident that Kujo Yardwear is manufacturing our shoes with the same philosophy we have when working in our yard - No Shortcuts.
